Inspector - Electrical

Responsibilities

• Review and understand contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, including any updates.
• Ensure the contractor complies with standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testing, tracking quality assurance progress.
• Maintain records of contractor manpower and equipment daily resources.
• Supervise and inspect the site as instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Document contractor personnel, equipment, observed activities, locations, and methods in assigned areas.
• Report on material delivery and implement site instructions and quality procedures.
• Prepare site measurements and perform surveying checks as required.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements by performing inspection duties.
• Monitor Health and Safety on construction works and report violations.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or related field).
• Minimum 7 years overall experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE.
• Experience in electrical projects and construction supervision with a consultancy.
• Good knowledge of design requirements, electrical methodologies, installation processes, and building codes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in report writing and detailed documentation.
• Knowledge of construction techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering for progression to Engineer level.
• Experience in horizontal development, mixed-use, commercial, retail, and hospitality buildings.
• Strong teamwork, high energy, and safety-focused mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure with sound professional judgement and a solutions-oriented approach.
