Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, including any updates.
  • Ensure contractor(s) compliance with contract standards and specifications through observation, measurement, testing, and quality assurance tracking.
  • Maintain records of contractor manpower and equipment daily resources.
  • Conduct site supervision and inspections as required by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
  • Document contractor personnel, equipment, observed activities, locations, reasons, and methods.
  • Report on material deliveries, follow and implement all site instructions, and apply quality controls and procedures.
  • Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as needed.
  • Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements by performing inspection duties.
  • Ensure health and safety on construction works and report violations.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering (minimum requirement). For Engineer progression, a related Degree is required.
  • Minimum 7 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE, focused on Electrical projects and Construction Supervision within a Consultancy.
  • Familiarity with Electrical methodologies, Building Codes, and installation processes.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Competence in writing clear, concise reports in English.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in buildings of all types, especially horizontal development, mixed-use residential/commercial, retail, and hospitality.
  • Good team player, high energy, and safety conscious with strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work under pressure and apply professional judgement with a solutions-oriented approach.
