Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, including updates.
  • Ensure contractors comply with standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testing; track quality assurance progress.
  • Maintain daily records of contractor manpower and equipment resources.
  • Conduct all site supervision and inspections as required by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
  • Document contractor personnel, equipment, activities, locations, reasons, and methods utilized in assigned areas.
  • Report on material deliveries and implement site instructions made by the team leader.
  • Apply and implement all site quality controls and procedures.
  • Prepare site measurements and conduct surveying checks as instructed.
  • Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements through inspections.
  • Monitor health and safety of construction works and report violations.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of basic design requirements
  • Familiarity with electrical methodologies, installation processes, and building codes
  • Experience with various building types including residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Competence in report writing and construction techniques

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering required; Degree in Engineering preferred for progression to Engineer level
  • Minimum 7 years overall experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE
  • Experience in electrical-based projects and construction supervision with a consultancy
  • Good team player with high energy
  • Safety conscious and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure, sound professional judgment, and solution-oriented approach
