Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and supervise roads and infrastructure works for a major Dubai project
  • Ensure activities comply with project specifications and standards
  • Familiarity with contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, health and safety measures
  • Maintain records of contractor resources (personnel and equipment)
  • Conduct site supervision and inspections as instructed by Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE)
  • Liaise and follow up daily with contractors to ensure effective management of resources, health and safety, and equipment
  • Prepare daily reports covering work orders, material delivery, inspections program
  • Implement site instructions from RE and ARE
  • Apply site quality controls and procedures
  • Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipes alignments and levels
  • Coordinate and cooperate with client project manager during site inspections
  • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain records
  • Assist RE and ARE in correspondence preparation
  • Proactively resolve site problems
  • Monitor start-up, commissioning, handover of site works, maintain milestone records
  • Maintain records of materials tests and executed works
  • Conduct audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience (including 3 years in UAE)
  • Familiarity with roads and infrastructure projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • RTA Approval
  • UAE experience
  • Experience on similar infrastructure and roads projects
