Inspector Civil

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the project’s contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, including any updates.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract standards and specifications.
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower and equipment.
• Conduct site supervision and inspections as required by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Liaise and follow up daily with the contractor regarding resources, health and safety, and equipment needs.
• Prepare daily reports for the RE or ARE, including work orders, materials deliveries, and inspection programs.
• Follow up and implement site instructions from the RE and ARE.
• Implement all site quality control and quality procedures.
• Conduct site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as needed.
• Coordinate and cooperate with the client project manager during site inspections.
• Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant records.
• Assist ARE and RE with correspondence and compliance tasks.
• Address site problems in coordination with RE or ARE.
• Monitor start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works, maintaining project milestone records.
• Maintain records of material test results and executed works.
• Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor’s plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar projects, with at least 3 years in the UAE
• Relevant experience on infrastructure and roads projects

Preferred Qualifications

• RTA Approval preferred
• UAE project experience preferred
