Inspector - Civil

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with contract documents, drawings, specs, and health/safety measures
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract standards/specifications
• Maintain records of contractor resources (human & equipment) daily
• Conduct site supervision and inspections as required/instructed by Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE)
• Liaise/daily follow up with contractor to ensure effective management of resources, health & safety, equipment
• Prepare daily report for RE/ARE (includes work orders, materials delivery, inspections)
• Implement site instructions from RE/ARE
• Apply and enforce quality controls and procedures
• Prepare site measurements and survey checks
• Coordinate with client project manager during site inspections
• Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and keep records
• Assist ARE/RE with correspondence per contract/site requirements
• Support prompt resolution of site problems
• Monitor start-up, commissioning, and handover milestones; maintain records
• Maintain records of materials tests and executed works
• Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents/plans

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience on similar projects
• Minimum 3 years UAE experience
• Infrastructure/roads project background
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering

• RTA Approval preferred
• UAE experience strongly valued
