Inspector - Civil

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of civil engineering projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and construction works.
• Verify compliance of construction activities with approved plans, specifications, and UAE building codes.
• Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to project standards and local requirements.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations on construction sites in accordance with UAE standards.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on civil engineering matters.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and project documentation.
• Stay updated with industry standards, UAE regulations, and best practices in civil engineering and construction.
• Travel to various project sites within Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering or construction inspection
• Proficiency in civil engineering principles and UAE construction standards
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures
• Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Thorough understanding of local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work onsite across Abu Dhabi
• Valid UAE driver's license

• Professional certifications in civil engineering or construction inspection
• Familiarity with UAE construction practices
