Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all materials used in the project comply with specifications and are approved by relevant authorities.
  • Review and approve contractor's proposed materials and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
  • Prepare Material Engineer’s Daily Diary.
  • Oversee contractor’s daily activities, work assignments, and on-site performance.
  • Attend factory visits and supplier plant inspections as required.
  • Follow up on testing and approvals from relevant authorities.
  • Review contractor’s testing requests and completed reports.
  • Approve contractor’s submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
  • Monitor material delivery and accuracy of materials used onsite.
  • Coordinate with contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and method of work.
  • Monitor conformance with contractor’s schedule.
  • Conduct continuous field inspections and consult with both Resident Engineer and contractor’s supervisory staff.
  • Prepare written and oral reports to the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters.

Requirements

  • Relevant BSc Degree from a recognized University
  • Holder of Dubai Central Laboratory approval

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in design, construction, and supervision of water pipeline, sewerage, rising mains, and pumping stations
  • Full knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in Dubai
  • Extensive experience in quality inspections and ISO9000 quality systems
