Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all architectural engineering aspects as per inspection plan/drawings/codes/specifications
  • Liaise with Senior Engineers and Managers for support/guidance
  • Review and monitor work variations to mitigate time and cost impacts
  • Oversee contractor documentation and shop drawings, ensure stability and quality of components/systems
  • Ensure contractor compliance with Quality Control Plan
  • Coordinate project protocols for inspection teams
  • Monitor safety during installations
  • Provide progress reports
  • Expedite NOCs from authorities
  • Maintain all site records (daily diaries, monthly progress photos, submittals, test inspections)
  • Expedite client approvals and contractor submissions
  • Conduct quality tests, site inspections on finishes and building components
  • Ensure accurate and compliant inspection reports
  • Support contractual obligations, issue NCRs, and corrective actions when needed
  • Assist with completed works inspection and additional duties as assigned
  • Monitor and report on HSE matters, participate in HSE training

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering (minimum requirement for Inspector)
  • Degree in Engineering (required for progression to Engineer level)
  • Minimum 7 years total experience (at least 5 years in UAE)
  • Experience in construction supervision within a consultancy
  • Good knowledge of design requirements, architectural methodologies, finishes, and Building Codes
  • Experience with buildings of all types (horizontal development, mixed-use, retail, hospitality)
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Competent at report writing
  • Detailed knowledge of construction techniques
  • Safety training/certification (plus)
