Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure all architectural engineering aspects are carried out per inspection plans, drawings, codes, and specifications.
  • Liaise daily with other teams to verify quality and quantity of contractor work.
  • Manage and process Inspection Requests and technical submittals.
  • Review and monitor work changes to mitigate time and cost impacts.
  • Assess contractor documents/shop drawings for compliance and quality.
  • Monitor and enforce contractor compliance with the approved Quality Control Plan.
  • Maintain site records, daily diaries, and monthly progress photography.
  • Expedite NOCs and approvals from authorities or clients as needed.
  • Coordinate with contractor management to streamline submissions and approvals.
  • Perform/evaluate tests verifying architectural finishes and building components.
  • Conduct field checks for placement, location, and quality of finishes and structures.
  • Perform architectural and material inspections; issue NCRs and support corrective actions.
  • Ensure accuracy of all inspection reports and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare daily logs and reports, maintain records of submittals and testing.
  • Carry out tasks in line with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
  • Assist in completed work inspections; perform delegated tasks from direct manager.
  • Monitor and report on HSE matters; participate in related training/meetings.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering (minimum)
  • Minimum 7 years' overall experience (at least 5 in the UAE)
  • Experience in construction supervision with a consultancy
  • Good knowledge of design requirements and building codes
  • Strong report writing and communication (English)
  • Detailed understanding of construction techniques
  • Effective team player and safety conscious
  • Ability to work under pressure and with sound professional judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in an Engineering discipline for those aiming for Engineer level roles
  • Safety training or certification
  • Experience in horizontal developments, mixed-use, residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality buildings
  • Familiarity with architectural methodologies and finishes
