Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety, health, and environmental management systems for sewage treatment plant operations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with local and international SHE regulations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of SHE policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental compliance and occupational health and safety matters to senior management.
  • Manage and analyze SHE performance data, preparing detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies and represent the organization in SHE-related matters.
  • Lead and mentor a team of SHE professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee SHE training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Spearhead initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve sustainability of plant operations.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to integrate SHE considerations into all aspects of sewage treatment processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in SHE roles
  • At least 5 years in sewage treatment or wastewater management
  • Proven expertise in environmental management systems and safety protocols
  • Strong knowledge of UAE environmental regulations
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and report writing
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH)
  • Proficiency with environmental management software tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience leading teams in industrial settings
  • Advanced expertise in sustainability initiatives
