Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations issues, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on People & Culture (P&C) policies, procedures, and UAE labor laws. Resolve conflicts and facilitate communication between employees and management.
  • Oversee talent management processes, including onboarding, performance management, and succession planning. Ensure attraction, development, and retention of top talent in the UAE.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and company policies. Manage relationships with local regulatory bodies and stay updated on labor legislation changes.
  • Manage HRIS systems to maintain accurate employee records and generate reports. Ensure data integrity and leverage P&C technology to enhance processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure the company’s offerings remain competitive.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on company people policies to leadership, empowering department heads to proactively manage P&C issues.
  • Provide expertise in career planning, performance management, total rewards, employee relations, learning and development, risk management, and legal compliance.
  • Assist other P&C team members to create a cohesive model, supporting Workplace Experience, Talent, Learning & Development, and IT as needed.
  • In collaboration with IT, oversee global employee onboarding and exit processes, ensuring consistent practices and a seamless experience.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans. Provide coaching and support to drive high performance.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to anticipate and plan for future workforce needs; develop strategies to address talent gaps.
  • Support organizational change initiatives through guidance on change management strategies and smooth transitions.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster positive workplace culture; conduct surveys, analyze feedback, and implement action plans.
  • Create in-depth and high-level reports using quantitative and qualitative people data to illustrate trends.
  • Work with the P&C team to identify trends from survey data to improve organizational health and enable informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a People Business Partner or in a similar strategic P&C role within a fast-paced, agile scale-up organization with global presence
  • Experience with various P&C tools/software for employee engagement, performance appraisals, etc.
  • Working knowledge of UAE employment laws and payroll practices
  • Hands-on experience in executing payroll with Microsoft Dynamics or a similar ERP system
  • Strong ability to interact comfortably with employees at every level of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to act with the highest level of discretion at all times
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, and multiple competing priorities autonomously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proactive communication about progress towards goals
