Buying Assistant

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and maintain Excel order sheets (order tracker, buyer tracker, order confirmations, packing lists, payments).
• Create purchase orders with accurate terms: delivery dates, payment terms, cost and selling prices, style definitions and product hierarchy.
• Liaise with suppliers and buyers to expedite deliveries and resolve delivery issues.
• Communicate with the warehouse to monitor deliveries received within delivery windows.
• Maintain awareness of department OTB and brand/category status; assist with reorders and replenishments.
• Support Merchandising by analysing reports and ensuring orders align with budgets and plans.
• Maintain procurement documents in a systematic and auditable manner.
• Solicit and tabulate supplier quotations; assist in bid comparisons.
• Ensure accurate product descriptions and pricing on the website.
• Complete data entry in line with the buying critical path and collaborate with peers to share best practices.
• Provide ongoing support to Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction.
