Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Receive guest calls in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Maintain effective communication with all related departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Handle every query in a polite and courteous manner, aiming to exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure guests are greeted by name over the phone as per Rixos standards.
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of hotel and local services.
  • Maintain awareness of guest profiles using the Fidelio guest profile system.
  • Manage and record management’s long-distance call vouchers.
  • Maintain guest wake-up call sheet and deliver calls promptly and to standard.
  • Operate the switchboard for fast and efficient transferring of calls.
  • Take messages for guests and management as required.
  • Ensure all calls (internal and external) are answered and efficiently transferred.
  • Stay aware of manager whereabouts in the hotel.
  • Monitor logs of long-distance calls, faxes, and messages.
  • Coordinate communication within the hotel during emergencies.
  • Remain aware of daily activities and have product knowledge of all hotel facilities.
  • Adhere to proper grooming standards at all times.
  • Attend scheduled training classes.
  • Cooperate and show respect within the team and across departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Computer literacy and experience with hotel software
  • Telephone etiquette

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in hospitality, communications, or IT
  • Courses in hospitality management
  • Multilingual skills (Russian and English required; others are an asset)
  • Technical understanding of telecommunications equipment
  • Problem-solving capability under pressure
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service
