Senior Customer Success Architect

Responsibilities

• Help customers determine their platform and application strategy for migrating to real-time, event-based business models
• Deliver onsite and remote workshops for customers’ architects, developers, and operations teams
• Investigate and solve complex technical challenges in collaboration with engineering teams
• Provide feedback to Confluent Product and Engineering groups
• Build tooling to push technical boundaries and improve delivery quality
• Test performance and functionality of new components developed by engineering
• Write or edit documentation, reference architecture, and design patterns based on customer experience
• Hone your own technical skills, build applications, and experiment with new product features
• Participate in community and industry events

Requirements

• Expertise designing, building, and operating Big Data, stream processing, or enterprise data integration solutions (preferably using Apache Kafka)
• Track record of managing multiple B2B infrastructure software development projects
• Experience operating Linux (RedHat and Debian-based distributions)
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• JVM tuning and troubleshooting skills
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems (Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Fast learner for new technologies
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with the Confluent platform
• Knowledge of Spark, Storm, relational and NoSQL databases
• Demonstrated industry participation or community leadership
