Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Register and process check-in for all arrivals.
  • Handle guest check-outs efficiently and professionally.
  • Update guest information into the computer after check-in.
  • Accountable for cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, and night audits upon guest departure.
  • Handle walk-in counter reservations and process call-in reservations when room reservations section is closed.
  • Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and respond promptly to all requests and inquiries.
  • Resolve guest complaints/requests and liaise with concerned departments for prompt follow-up.
  • Issue guest room key cards and manage effective control for guest security.
  • Check and convey messages, mail, and packages to guests.
  • Assist at information counter, foreign exchange, night audit, and business centre as assigned.
  • Stay informed on hotel rate codes, packages, segmentation, and applicable discounts.
  • Handle safe deposit boxes as per hotel policy.
  • Report unusual occurrences or incidents to the manager.
  • Be aware of hotel accident prevention policies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front office area.
  • Greet all guests at arrival and departure.
  • Review logbooks, verify outstanding items, and follow up on pending issues.
  • Check hotel situation, occupancy, events, functions, groups, and VIPs.
  • Communicate necessary information between shifts for continuous operations.
  • Prepare for daily arrivals in terms of room allocations, amenities, and special guest requests.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with guests to ensure issues are addressed efficiently.
  • Review and update the logbook regularly.
  • Check equipment.
  • Maintain a smart, well-groomed, and cheerful professional appearance at all times.
  • Oversee day-to-day front office operations.
  • Regularly report key happenings to the Assistant Front Office Manager/Front Office Manager.
  • Be familiar with fire and first aid procedures.
  • Handle and report guest complaints to management.

Requirements

  • University degree in Hotel Management
  • Minimum 1 year in a similar role in a 4/5-star hotel
  • Language skills: Arabic & French

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in luxury hospitality or a similar high-end environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Multitasking and organizational abilities
