Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Treat all guests and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner at all times and provide full cooperation and timely assistance to all employees.
  • Anticipate employee needs and enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional and helpful image to both internal and external guests.
  • Ensure a high degree of employee satisfaction, aiming to receive zero complaints about the department.
  • Maintain professional confidentiality and never disclose company-related information.
  • Ensure strict adherence to legal regulations and work permits regarding foreign expatriate employees.
  • Handle job application correspondence, file all documents and adverts appropriately.
  • Coordinate and initiate yearly performance evaluations for all staff levels.
  • Administer insurance and notify superiors of any irregularity.
  • Provide ongoing information to personnel regarding changes, problems, or news.
  • Keep all hotel licenses up-to-date for smooth hotel operation.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions in consultation with relevant supervisors.
  • Manage personnel files for hiring, transfers, promotions, resignations, and modifications.
  • File and update work procedures and operational rules as needed.
  • Oversee recruiting coordination with all Department Heads.
  • Analyze work atmosphere and propose improvements to Department Heads and the GM/HM.
  • Monitor adherence to remuneration guidelines and compare with competitors annually.
  • Counsel employees on professional and personal matters.
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify reasons for resignations.
  • Communicate important news to avoid misunderstandings and rumors.
  • Organize social, leisure, and team-building activities for employees.
  • Supervise staff accommodation maintenance, pest control, repair, and improvement.
  • Coordinate with Finance for payroll and financial matters.
  • Prepare monthly reports and manage vacation/public holiday overviews.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements for fire, safety, and emergencies.
  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Arrange necessary travel (air tickets, pickups) and onboarding for new arrivals.
  • Manage indirect reports and departmental time sheets.
  • Ensure HRMS is up-to-date with employee information.
  • Distribute employee handbooks, arrange name tags and ID cards after visa formalities.
  • Ensure effective internal and external communication.
  • Assist recruitment & retention officer, employee benefits & relations officer, PRO, and visa coordinator.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and attend meetings as required.
  • Assume Duty Manager responsibilities when scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Country Director of T&C and GM/HM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Business Management
  • Minimum 1 year in a similar HR managerial role
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications)
  • Multi-tasking and time management
  • Detail orientation, planning, and organizing
  • Strong coordination and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in hospitality HR
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with HRMS platforms
