Officer- Collection Operations (Emiratized Role)

Responsibilities

• Handle collections legal cases, cheque execution cases, civil cases, cases against bank, and accountancy cases.
• Liaise with collection teams for in-court settlements and releasing cases.
• Attend expert meetings, review commentaries and memos.
• Follow up with law firms on case stages to minimize losses and maximize collections and cash recovery.
• Coordinate with law firms for new cases assigned, follow up across different stages, and update systems and trackers.
• Review requested cases and advise collection teams on legal actions, ensuring cases are sent to lawyers within agreed turnaround time.
• Provide backup support for team members during absences as assigned.
• Monitor vendors (law firms), especially for Abu Dhabi cases, and ensure cases are filed within agreed timelines.
• Ensure original files are retrieved and returned as per process and policy.
• Handle requests and escalations related to collections, working toward resolutions.
• Collaborate closely with Collection and Recovery teams for legal support or advisory.
• Attend mandatory training and enforce company policies and values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in banking sector
