Investment Associate (UAE National)

Responsibilities

The Investment Associate provides support to the sector head and assists in overseeing strategy, budgeting, risk, talent, compensation, and M&A initiatives for portfolio companies. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting portfolio company value creation initiatives through shareholder opinions and Value Creation Plans
• Providing assistance to the Investment Manager to drive execution of value creation plans with portfolio companies
• Identifying and analyzing synergies within portfolio companies and facilitating their implementation
• Performing analysis and reporting to support regular performance reviews
• Reviewing and reporting on company progress against plans and flagging potential issues
• Supplying data and reports that inform hold/sell decisions on assets
• Gathering data and research for sector strategies and screens, identifying investable trends
• Originating strategic investment deals in coordination with the M&A team
• Building connections within the sector ecosystem and engaging relevant stakeholders
• Conducting commercial diligence and reporting for deal transactions
• Performing inter-company comparisons against competitors for key performance metrics

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance or Business
• Valid UAE family book
• 4-8 years experience in Consulting, Investments, or related field
• Strong financial modelling experience
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certificates (e.g., CFA, CPA) are an advantage
