Inspector - Civil

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the project’s contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, including any updates.
• Ensure contractors comply with the standards and specifications of contract documents.
• Maintain records of contractor personnel and equipment resources daily.
• Undertake all site supervision and inspections as required by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Liaise and conduct daily follow-ups with the contractor to ensure proper management of resources, health and safety, and site equipment.
• Prepare daily reports for the RE or ARE, including work orders, material deliveries, and inspection programs.
• Implement site instructions as directed by the RE and ARE.
• Apply and enforce all quality controls and procedures at the site.
• Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as needed for pipes alignments and levels.
• Coordinate with the client project manager during site inspections alongside RE or ARE.
• Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain related records.
• Assist the ARE and RE in preparing correspondences as per contract and site requirements.
• Resolve site issues collaboratively with RE or ARE.
• Monitor project start-up, commissioning, and handover, maintaining records of project milestones.
• Maintain records of material tests and completed works.
• Audit site inspections for conformity with contract documents and submitted plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar projects
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the UAE
• Relevant experience in infrastructure and roads projects

• RTA Approval
• UAE experience preferred
• Experience on comparable infrastructure and roads projects
