Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all architectural engineering aspects of the project to ensure compliance with inspection plans, drawings, codes, and specifications.
  • Liaise daily with Senior Architectural Engineer and project teams to provide support and guidance.
  • Review and monitor work variations to mitigate time and cost impacts.
  • Monitor contractor submissions (drawings, documents) and Quality Control Plan compliance.
  • Oversee protocols for work inspection and ensure safety during installations.
  • Prepare and maintain site records, daily site diaries, and monthly progress photography.
  • Expedite NOCs and approvals from authorities or clients, if stalled.
  • Conduct and/or evaluate tests to confirm quality of architectural finishes and components through thorough site inspections.
  • Coordinate with contractors to expedite submissions and resolve issues.
  • Issue NCRs and assist in corrective actions.
  • Ensure inspection reports are accurate and compliant with requirements.
  • Maintain compliance of architectural works to design, specifications, and project plan.
  • Maintain records of all submittals, inspections, and tests.
  • Assist with inspection of completed works and perform duties as assigned by manager.
  • Monitor and report on HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) matters and participate in related training and meetings.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering (required).
  • Good knowledge of basic design requirements.
  • Familiarity with architectural methodologies, finishes, and building codes.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Competency in report writing (clear, concise English).
  • Experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.
  • Previous experience in the UAE.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related engineering degree (for progression).
  • Safety training or certification.
  • Experience working on horizontal development, mixed-use, residential, and hospitality projects.
