Electrician

Responsibilities

• Plan and install new or modified electrical systems to minimize material waste, provide maintenance access, and ensure neat, safe wiring.
• Ensure work complies with specifications and local electrical codes.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
• Strip, splice, solder and terminate wiring; apply tape or terminal caps as required.
• Connect wiring to lighting fixtures, appliances, and power equipment.
• Install control and distribution devices including switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, or replace circuit breakers, feeders, control wiring, transformers, and other electrical services.
• Assist on projects involving HVAC, refrigeration equipment, pumps, lights, aerators, and similar systems.
• Participate in weekend on-call rota and respond to service calls in a timely manner.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Technical certificate
• 2+ years experience
• Electrical codes
• Conduit installation
• Wire splicing
• Electrical troubleshooting
• HVAC assistance
• On-call availability
• Good English

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or resort experience preferred
• Experience with commercial lighting systems
• Strong safety and lockout/tagout practice
