Director - Operational Resilience

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of operational resilience programs per new UAE Central Bank regulations.
• Build and scale a high-performing team, starting with 2–3 staff, expanding as needed.
• Serve as SME for operational resilience across client engagements, providing direction on risk assessments, continuity planning, and resilience frameworks.
• Support business development for GCC expansion, primarily in banking and financial services.
• Operate from Dubai, covering wider GCC markets (Qatar, Riyadh, Bahrain, Kuwait); occasional travel.
• Collaborate with consulting partners and financial institutions to design and implement resilience solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in operational resilience, risk management, or regulatory compliance (banking sector).
• Demonstrated experience implementing regulatory frameworks in operational risk/resilience.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills; able to build and manage teams in high-pressure environments.
• Delivery-focused, entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable in fast-paced, evolving contexts.
• Preferably previous GCC experience or deep understanding of financial services in emerging markets.
• Practitioner background in banking highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing network in GCC financial services.
• Experience with regulatory bodies or top consultancies.
• Arabic proficiency (plus, but not mandatory).
