Job Description
Responsibilities
- Support commission leads for pre-contract and post-contract stages of projects, which can be complex and of significant size.
- Provide excellent service delivery to clients, build trust, and enhance company reputation.
- Ensure client objectives are met through effective cost management from pre-contract to construction completion.
- Carry out tasks allocated by the Commission Manager and ensure accuracy in all deliverables.
- Measure and price building and MEP works for estimating and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
- Manage post-contract services, including interim applications, change management, and variation valuation.
- Work with standard form contracts (FIDIC preferred) and understand contract procedures.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and other consultants as necessary.
- Take responsibility for work accuracy and report production.
- Strive for career progression within the organization.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar field
- Minimum 4 years' experience in similar cost management roles
- UAE industry experience (must have)
- Good knowledge of construction and technical matters
- Experience preparing Bills of Quantities
- Knowledge of CostX software
Preferred Qualifications
- MRICS or similar professional membership (preferred)
- Real Estate / Property sector experience with a professional cost consultancy
- Procurement and client-facing experience
- Understanding of building works and MEP market prices
- Proactive, professional approach, able to interact confidently with contractor personnel
- Experience with change control processes and variation management
