Waiter/Waitress

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following Rixos Standards of Performance.
• Adapt to rotate within different sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or other hotel departments as assigned.
• Carry out other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Undertake tasks and secondary duties assigned by the Assistant Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the assigned workplace.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu and the ability to recommend combinations and up-sell alternatives.
• Deliver high standards of quality and friendly service as per Standard Operational Procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace and surrounding areas at all times.
• Handle guest enquiries courteously and efficiently.
• Establish rapport with guests and maintain good customer relationships.
• Monitor operating supplies, reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Report guest complaints or problems to Managers if no immediate solution is found and ensure follow-up with guests.
• Participate in inventories of operating equipment.
• Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name tag, and maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Adhere to the hotel’s Employee Handbook, rules, regulations, and policies, especially relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
• Comply with local legislation as required.
• Respond to departmental changes as dictated by hotel needs.
• Be flexible and extend job duties across alternative departments/areas if required.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality
• Freshers or candidates with 1 year experience in a 4-5 star hotel
