Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the Business Development & Sales team (2 direct reports)
  • Identify, classify, and qualify new opportunities from inbound and outbound channels
  • Drive lead generation and cultivate a strong sales pipeline with initial focus on government and defence sectors in the Middle East
  • Engage prospective and existing customers regarding satellite manufacturing and operational services
  • Develop tailored proposals and pitch Orbitworks’ value proposition
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalise contracts in alignment with customer and company goals
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and ensure continuous support throughout the program lifecycle
  • Deliver market insights and provide feedback to guide future product and service development
  • Open doors and close deals with governments, ministries of defence, and defence contractors in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and beyond

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience selling complex hardware in the MENA region
  • Extensive network and track record in government and defence sales in the Middle East
  • In-depth knowledge of government/defence procurement processes
  • Demonstrated sales/BD leadership experience
  • Start-up mentality with ability to execute at pace
  • Solution-oriented mindset with passion for turning customer needs into business opportunities
  • Understanding of the space industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Senior leadership experience in UAE government agencies or MENA space/satellite sector
  • Management experience in lean sales teams
  • Track record in space, satellite services, or geospatial analytics sales
  • Familiarity with government contracting and public-private partnership models

About the Company

Orbitworks, a new venture by Loft Orbital Solutions, is building the Middle East’s first commercial satellite production facility in Abu Dhabi.
