Vessel Chartering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage full chartering process for various vessels (AHTS, PSV, DSV, barges, etc.) supporting offshore installation, construction, and logistics operations.
• Draft, negotiate, and execute robust charter party agreements, ensuring compliance with internal and legal standards.
• Liaise with internal teams (marine operations, legal, insurance, procurement) and external partners (shipowners, brokers, agents) to align vessel operations with project objectives.
• Monitor vessel performance, technical suitability, and HSE compliance throughout operations.
• Oversee timely mobilization, demobilization, and detailed cost control of all chartered vessels.
• Contribute to project vessel strategy, including availability analysis, market intelligence, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in vessel chartering, marine logistics, or offshore operations (ideally oil & gas or subsea industry).
• Solid understanding of charter party types, vessel specifications, and marine regulations (IMCA, SOLAS, MARPOL).
• Proven contract negotiation, cost management, and operational follow-up experience.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of a European language.
• Experience in project-driven environments.
• Familiarity with dynamic planning constraints.
