Vehicle Operations Specialist, Middle East

Responsibilities

• Gain a thorough understanding of WeRide's self-driving technology and daily updates.
• Safely operate test vehicles for up to 8 hours daily to evaluate and enhance autonomous driving systems.
• Make sound judgment calls in live test environments.
• Communicate in-depth feedback to engineers and managers regarding technology and operational priorities.
• Represent the company to self-driving enthusiasts and the public.
• Assist with hands-on needs in a startup, including vehicle washing, garage maintenance, equipment moving, supporting colleagues during business trips, and other ad hoc in-office and non-driving tasks.

Requirements

• Prior experience in customer-facing driving roles (e.g., ride-sharing driver, taxi driver).
• Strong safety orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Safety Officer.
• Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment.
• Passion for vehicles and/or mechanical aptitude in vehicle maintenance.
• Expertise in vehicle technology.
• Proficiency in multiple languages.
