Urban Designer

Responsibilities

• Support the design and production of calculations, sketches, diagrams, and visual content for urban design requirements
• Assist professionals in research-based tasks, ensuring outputs align with project goals and quality standards
• Develop and efficiently deliver graphical content (reports, diagrams, models) in agreed formats
• Test representation styles and translate ideas/concepts graphically
• Contribute to the maintenance of physical and digital resource libraries
• Draft and format text/graphics for design reports, proposals, and presentations
• Assist the team in meeting note taking and preparation of minutes
• Demonstrate basic technical knowledge of the built environment and planning practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Urban Design from an accredited university
• Recent 2024 or 2025 graduates (for AECOM's Graduate Program)
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or equivalent
• UAE National with a valid family book (mandatory per Emiratisation requirements)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, CAD, Sketchup, Rhino, ArcGIS/QGIS
• Passion for urban design and inclusive public spaces
• Graphic representation and visualization skills
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Detail-oriented with spatial awareness and design aesthetics
