Software Engineer - Intern

Responsibilities

• Build robust and scalable software.
• Improve code services and system architecture.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to technology, algorithms, and products.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and formulate use cases.
• Deliver results across the software development lifecycle.
• Estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues.
• Contribute to distributed systems powering e-commerce platforms at scale.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student in UAE, in an accredited Computer Science Bachelors or Masters program.
• Strong applied experience: experience building, breaking, and rebuilding software applications.
• Creative thinker who translates ideas into real-world products.
• Programming experience in Java, Javascript, Python.
• Must be on student visa or parent sponsorship.
• Analytical skills to convert abstract concepts into viable products using CS fundamentals.
• Resourceful in information gathering and relationship building with key partners.
• Data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SDLC methodologies.
• Comfort with algorithms and data structures (dynamic array, linked list, stack, queue, binary search/tree, hash map, DFS, BFS, merge sort).
• Proactive attitude: seek new opportunities, embrace challenges, display enthusiasm daily.
• Willingness to manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
