Senior Reporter

Responsibilities

• Build close relationships with funds, managers, lawyers, and advisors.
• Shape coverage of LPs and GPs including allocations, commitments, targets, and people moves.
• Write 15 stories per month on the market, covering infrastructure deals and pipeline projects in power, transportation, and oil and gas.
• Generate ideas for longer-form coverage, working with Infralogic data/research teams for market-leading news and analysis.
• Assist with ION Analytics’ events including content creation, panel moderation, and speaking.
• Work with EMEA editor and senior editorial colleagues, supporting content targeted at ION Analytics’ key customer segments.
• Maintain high standards of copy and comply with company-wide editorial policies.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of financial markets and exclusive reporting.
• Minimum 5 years reporting experience in a reputable global newsroom.
• Proven ability to break news and write in-depth analysis for media organizations.
• Ability to identify trends in market data and perform research for report development.
• Strong networking skills for building sources.
• Excellent news writing and analytical skills.
