Senior Legal Counsel - M&A

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support on all M&A transactions for the VEON Group from Dubai HQ
• Support Group-level commercial and high-value strategic projects
• Work with stakeholders including Group executives, local management teams, and cross-functional business units (finance, compliance, commercial, technical)
• Deliver pragmatic legal and strategic advice, working closely with external counsel
• Manage external counsel relationships: scoping, instructions, and budgeting
• Support digital initiatives and the growth of digital business lines within VEON
• Adapt quickly to changing international environments and handle complex cross-jurisdictional matters
• Take on various legal tasks and support the broader legal team as required

Requirements

• M&A law experience
• Corporate law background
• Top-tier law firm or multinational corporate experience
• Drafting skills
• Project management
• Complex transaction structuring
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks
• Dubai-based

Preferred Qualifications

• Professionally qualified lawyer
• Minimum 5 years relevant legal experience
• Excellent English (other languages beneficial)
• Proactive, autonomous, and solutions-oriented mindset
• Team player with ability to work under pressure
