Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement utility plans for water, electricity, gas, and telecommunications systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers for utility integration.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for optimal solutions.
  • Design utility systems using engineering software, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Analyze and resolve complex utility-related issues.
  • Coordinate with local utility providers and regulatory agencies for permits and approvals.
  • Oversee utility installation, relocation, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates for utility projects.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in utility engineering.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 years experience in utility engineering
  • Knowledge of water, electricity, gas, and telecom utility systems
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, hydraulic modeling software
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project management abilities (budgeting, scheduling)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with UAE utility regulations and standards
  • Experience in utility design, planning, relocation
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in utility engineering
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to project sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • RTA Approved
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East
  • Knowledge of sustainable practices and renewable energy integration
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic
