Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supervise quality-assurance inspection staff and sub-consultants to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Ensure safety of AECOM staff and contractors on-site.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the Client, Authorities, and Contractor personnel.
  • Process daily project documentation and construction observations.
  • Prepare, issue, and track Non-Conformance reports.
  • Review Inspectors’ and Sub-consultants’ daily work reports.
  • Prepare correspondence to Contractor and Client.
  • Expedite delays in approval of permits and approvals.
  • Lead weekly progress meetings with Client, Contractor, and team members.
  • Maintain project documents according to Company and Client requirements.
  • Negotiate Change Orders with Contractors on behalf of Client.
  • Make recommendations to Client for Change Order acceptance.
  • Review and approve Contractor’s monthly invoice submissions.
  • Prepare and review monthly project status updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Lead.
  • Supervise and train the Assistant Resident Engineer.
  • Liaise with head office for resource planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 15+ years experience in construction supervision, preferably on large-scale projects
  • Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in project management and quality control methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
