Job Description
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of marine engineering personnel.
- Ensure all machinery and systems onboard vessels operate safely and efficiently.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers and vendors.
- Enforce compliance with international maritime regulations and safety protocols.
- Provide hands-on support during dry dockings, sea trials, and equipment upgrades.
Requirements
- Degree or certification in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of marine engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of shipboard systems: propulsion, HVAC, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with ISM Code and Class requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience in marine engineering.
- Experience in dry docking, sea trials, and equipment upgrades.
