Manufacturing Systems and Tools Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead configuration, deployment, and integration of NetSuite ERP, PLM, and MES systems for satellite manufacturing operations.
• Define and manage data flows and interfaces between ERP, PLM, MES, and test environments.
• Serve as the internal point of contact with system implementation partners.
• Ensure data consistency across platforms, including BOMs, inventory, work orders, and as-built records.
• Support definition and deployment of local systems at assembly and test stations (e.g., barcode scanners, tablets, HMI interfaces). Standardize station setups.
• Define requirements and processes for hardware/software interfaces supporting assembly and testing.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to digitize manual or ad hoc processes into structured digital workflows.
• Document processes and support user onboarding with guides and SOPs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline manufacturing execution through better data capture and usability.
• Provide first-line post-deployment support to internal users.
• Track and manage ongoing system improvements, upgrades, and change requests.
• Lead training and onboarding for new employees on digital tools.

Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing systems, digital operations, or enterprise tools administration (ERP/PLM/MES)
• Experience configuring or managing NetSuite, Duro, Arena, ION, or similar tools
• Experience in production environments with digital interfaces
• Strong understanding of MRP, BOMs, inventory control, and manufacturing workflows for high mix, low volume manufacturing
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Experience in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing
• Exposure to PLM/ERP/MES integrations and system architecture
• Adaptability in lean, ambiguous environments
• Hands-on mindset with action orientation
• Attention to detail and ability to simplify complexity
