IT Operations Manager (UAE National)

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily functions of the EIA helpdesk and manage all aspects of technology infrastructure, including desktop systems, remote computing, network maintenance, support, telecommunications, and audio visual systems.
• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of the technology program, including network maintenance and PC hardware/software installation, configuration, and support.
• Manage user support Help Desk operations, providing high-level support for standard software applications.
• Develop and maintain departmental and organizational IT policies and procedures.
• Advise the Chief Technology Officer on technology platform functions and strategic direction.
• Implement, administer, and support EIA technology projects and departmental systems.
• Act as lead resource for technology queries, upgrades, and installations.
• Manage departmental staff hiring, training, counseling, and performance evaluation in collaboration with CTO and HR.
• Direct end-user application software training programs and ensure effective in-house training quality.
• Collaborate with local Technology teams on product installation, training, and support.
• Customize training rollouts for office-specific needs including new hires and ongoing education.
• Act as third-line support for helpdesk, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain organizational data security and disaster recovery measures.
• Support departmental databases and programs (e.g. Bloomberg).
• Participate in vendor demonstrations, providing feedback on products and software updates.
• Stay updated on current and new technologies and market trends.
• Lead special projects to completion as needed.
• Ensure EIA IT operations comply with EIA Information Security Policies and Procedures; contribute actively to policy development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (Microsoft accredited).
• 6-8 years of technology systems management experience; minimum 4 years supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of PC applications, network administration, and telecom systems. (Experience with Cisco telephone systems preferred)
• Experience in systems or applications development, business analysis/requirements gathering, and project management.
• Extensive experience in supporting Microsoft technologies.
• Working experience in private equity or finance organizations.
• Lead technical role in systems implementation and development projects.
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining disaster recovery solutions.
• Expert knowledge of:
  • Windows Server
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare)
  • SQL Server (helpful)
  • Windows
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Cisco Call Manager

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Bloomberg or similar departmental databases/programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Up-to-date certifications in Microsoft and Cisco technologies.
• Prior role in strategic IT planning at an organizational level.
