IT Officer - Restaurant Support

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and configuration of restaurant IT systems including POS, back office computers, printers, etc.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems for end users at outlets and head office.
• Configure and install operating systems and make necessary network changes.
• Set up new user accounts and install software as needed.
• Request new hardware and conduct on-site technical support and diagnostics.
• Provide after-hours follow-up and technical actions as required.
• Analyze, service, and replace computer hardware components when needed.
• Serve as liaison between users and MIS team.
• Ensure vendor SLA compliance; report any breaches related to IT services.
• Maintain and service restaurant IT equipment like printers, projectors, web cameras, scanners, POS and back office systems.
• Support Windows Server technology and Active Directory requirements.
• Prepare and deliver IT training/guides to restaurant staff.
• Handle Avaya/IP telephony support and troubleshooting.
• Perform CCTV maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Manage firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN connections between restaurants and the head office.
• Implement IT policies in restaurant operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Micros POS systems and backend
• Recent experience in new store openings or business setups
• Interpersonal and soft skills
• UAE driving license
• Immediate joining

Preferred Qualifications

• Diverse experience in a similar IT support role
• Minimum 1 year experience with PC/POS hardware repair and troubleshooting
• Experience with Oracle Micros installation and maintenance
• Knowledge of Fortigate Firewall and network troubleshooting
• Familiarity with POS hardware and retail IT systems
