Inboard Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily maintenance tasks and complete all related documentation
• Inspect and confirm the condition of auxiliary machinery according to scheduled due dates
• Service inboard and outboard engines, generators, and gearboxes before scheduled service intervals
• Create maintenance job reports (MJR) for completed tasks
• Communicate daily maintenance issues to the coordinator for system upload
• Request spare parts and tools in advance
• Ensure availability of extra spare parts for breakdowns
• Coordinate and supervise all maintenance jobs, including work by in-house and external technicians
• Check and confirm all safety equipment functionality; support in annual and regular inspections, certifications, and related paperwork
• Provide emergency maintenance and troubleshooting support, including handling both minor and major repairs

Requirements

• Technical knowledge of engine maintenance
• Experience servicing marine or similar mechanical systems
• Ability to manage and complete maintenance documentation
• Coordination skills for technician supervision
• UAE work eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in marine engineering
• Certification in mechanical or marine engineering
• Familiarity with safety inspection protocols
• Strong troubleshooting ability
