Freelance In-Person Event Specialist - Dubai, UAE

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all event details, including shipping materials and staffing arrangements.
• Act as the onsite Event Coordinator for team-building, social impact activities, and experiences.
• Join virtual planning meetings with corporate and nonprofit partners, Visit.org hosts, and event coordinators.
• Take ownership of in-person events: set up, align with onsite team, tear down, clean, problem-solve, and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
• Serve as Visit.org's onsite representative, leader, and problem solver.
• Align roles and responsibilities with the onsite team, event host, nonprofit organization, venue, additional staff, and corporate partner.
• Manage the check-in process, welcoming guests warmly.
• Problem solve issues such as missing supplies, late staff, and technology challenges.
• Escalate issues to the Events Team as required.
• Send updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team during the event.
• Break down after the event, clean site, and repackage/ship materials back to the distribution center.
• Pack supplies and add shipping labels, possibly loading boxes.

Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Based in Dubai, UAE
• Schedule flexibility (contract per-event basis)
• Experience in large-scale and executive-level events
• Proven high-level event execution
• Resourceful, solutions-minded under pressure
• Fast thinker, organized, detail-oriented
• Customer relationship and service skills
• Group facilitation experience
• Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed
• Willingness to travel locally
• Strong interpersonal skills in fast-paced situations
• Multi-tasking across varied tasks/projects
• Comfort interacting with large crowds
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods

This is an on-location, in-person, per-event contract role in Dubai, UAE. Only candidates already based in Dubai are eligible. No relocation packages provided.
