Electrician

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership with a Total Ownership attitude
• Enforce, clarify, and follow company policies, standards, and procedures
• Support HSE objective of zero injuries, accidents, or harm to the environment related to electrical work
• Promote operational excellence through procedural discipline
• Delegate work with clear requirements and expectations
• Supervise and ensure safety of team
• Comply with emergency response plans and Work Safe Procedures
• Maintain morale and order within the crew
• Ensure Authorized To Operate (ATO) and Approved Competent Operator (ACO) compliance
• Understand and apply LO/TO and Permit to Work procedures
• Download/upload PLC programs
• Troubleshoot PLC and VFD control logics
• Read and analyze PLC control logics and electrical schematics
• Splice wires and connect equipment
• Test circuits using electrical test equipment
• Install, test, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate onsite repairs
• Install/repair lighting systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical equipment
• Repair panel lighting, breakers, junction boxes, voltage regulators, and relays
• Fabricate and install distribution panels for motor operations
• Install and maintain alarm/video systems and gas detection equipment
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules
• Repair or replace defective electrical parts
• Foresee and resolve equipment malfunctions
• Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on all equipment maintenance
• Manage job requests, work orders, and inventories
• Ensure adequate parts supply and submit requisitions
• Maintain records of electrical inventories and orders
• Additional duties and special projects as directed

Requirements

• Experience in electrical installations and maintenance (including generators, HVAC, and alarm systems)
• Ability to read and troubleshoot PLC and VFD control logics
• Strong understanding of HSE procedures and work permits
• Ability to supervise and manage a crew
• Preventative and corrective maintenance skills
• Experience in fabricating/installing distribution panels
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and manuals
• Experience in industrial electrical repairs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in oil & gas or heavy industry
• Familiarity with gas detection and safety systems
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems
• Experience working in the UAE or Gulf region
