Assistant Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the home setting using the nursing process and established clinical policies, standards and protocols.
• Establish priorities of care, nursing actions and desired outcomes for patients under your care.
• Deliver nursing care that reflects the organisation's mission, vision and values within the homecare policy framework.
• Advocate for patient welfare and deliver evidence-based nursing practice.
• Perform nursing duties within clinical scope and professional code of conduct as directed by Nursing Administration, DOH PQR and UAE nursing norms.
• Conduct clinical assessments, implement appropriate interventions and demonstrate competency in homecare-specific skills.
• Apply infection prevention and control practices in the homecare environment and report issues per PHS policy.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions and care in the patient medical record according to PHS policy and international documentation standards.
• Communicate care plans and changes effectively with the multidisciplinary team and patients' families to ensure continuity of care.
• Respond appropriately in urgent and emergency situations, exercising decision-making and leadership as required.
• Attend and contribute to educational presentations, trainings and seminars as required by Nursing Administration.
• Complete tasks assigned by line manager as needed.

Requirements

• DOH/HAAD License
• Registered Nurse
• New Passers
• Homecare Experience
• Willing to work in Abu Dhabi & Al Ain

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior homecare or community nursing experience
• Familiarity with CARF standards for long-term and home care
• Experience with clinical documentation and UAE nursing norms
• Demonstrated infection control competency
