Job Description
Responsibilities
- Acquire new-to-bank (NTB) high-value clients and grow existing high-value relationships to increase deposits and revenue.
- Engage clients to understand needs and improve banking services; increase bank wallet share through cross-sell and upsell of products.
- Proactively source business, follow up on sales leads, and coordinate with GTB and GM partners.
- Prepare and review Credit Applications (CAs), analyze financial statements and recommend credit limits where required.
- Ensure timely KYC updates and collaborate with Compliance, Risk and Operations to manage regulatory and operational risks.
- Monitor portfolio performance, recognize early warning signs, and pursue remedial actions for delinquent accounts.
- Negotiate pricing and structure for cash and GM products; monitor MIS and revenue dashboards (FX/Trade).
- Maintain high customer service standards and ensure prompt response and turnaround for client requests.
Requirements
- Proven track record in commercial relationship management and achieving sales targets.
- University degree in relevant discipline.
- Sales management experience with strong business assessment skills.
- Team leadership and performance management capability.
- Strong analytical and financial statement analysis skills.
- Knowledge of KYC and credit risk processes; adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
- Customer-focused with ability to cross-sell banking products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Management or Business Administration.
- Experience with SME banking and supply chain/transactional products.
- Familiarity with international client structures and cross-border banking.
- Innovative problem-solving mindset and ability to drive behavioural change within teams.
