Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with project contract documents, drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures
  • Ensure compliance with the standards and contract specifications
  • Maintain records of contractor's daily human and equipment resources
  • Undertake site supervision and inspections as required by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE)
  • Liaise and follow up daily with the contractor to ensure resource management, health and safety, and equipment needs
  • Prepare daily reports to the RE or ARE covering work orders, materials delivery, and daily inspection program
  • Implement site instructions from the RE and ARE
  • Apply all site quality control and quality procedures
  • Prepare site measurements and survey checks as needed by the RE or ARE
  • Coordinate with client project manager during site inspections
  • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain records
  • Assist ARE and RE in the preparation of correspondences in compliance with contract and site requirements
  • Troubleshoot site issues promptly in coordination with the RE or ARE
  • Monitor start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works, maintaining records of project milestones
  • Maintain records of material tests performed and executed works
  • Audit site inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor-submitted plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within similar projects
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant UAE experience
  • Experience in comparable infrastructure and roads projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • RTA Approval
  • UAE experience preferred
